Indiana is proud to announce we are now accepting applications for Indiana CSPDWeek brought to you by the national Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA), the Indiana CSTA Chapter, Nextech, and the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE). Hundreds of Indiana K-12 teachers will come together from June 27 - July 1, 2022 to learn, network, create community, and continue to expand high-quality, inclusive, and rigorous Computer Science education for all K-12 students across the state of Indiana.

 

 

Location: Indiana University, Bloomington 

Dates: June 27 - July 1, 2022

 

What’s Included: This event is free for Indiana K-12 public school teachers and includes: 

  • Enrollment in an at least 30-hour in-person professional development workshop June 27 - July 1, 2022

  • Access to other networking events and workshops during CSPDWeek 

  • Travel and hotel accommodations for teachers living more than 50 miles from Indiana University, Bloomington 

  • Breakfast and lunch (Monday - Friday)

  • Stipends for eligible participants (see details below) 

  • Completion certificate and (at least) 30 hours of PGP points for the week

  • Participation in follow-up PD & PLC activities throughout the school year.

Participants can register for only one workshop. 

  • Complete all required pre-work and actively participate in 4 ongoing PD sessions and/or PLC meetings depending on your workshop throughout the 2022-2023 school year (Dates TBA)

  • Implement the content covered during CSPDWeek 2022 in their classrooms during the 2022-2023 school year

  • Complete all required pre-work and actively participate throughout all professional learning at CSPDWeek 2022

  • Teach in an Indiana K-12 public school for the 2022-2023 school year

 

In order to be eligible, teachers must meet the following requirements:

 

Stipend: Indiana K-12 public and public charter school teachers are eligible to receive a stipend for their participation in CSPDWeek and follow up professional learning throughout the year. The stipend will be awarded in two payments, the first stipend of $1080 for completion of all pre-work and complete attendance at CSPDWeek June 27 - July 1, 2022. The second stipend of $480 for participation in 4 ongoing virtual PLC meetings throughout the 2022-2023 school year (2 meetings in the fall and 2 in the spring semester). There will be more details about the ongoing PLC meetings shared at CSPDWeek 2022. 

 

Who is Invited: All Indiana K-12 educators teaching computer science content during the 2022-2023 school year.
